Alumni Tracking System
Tracks graduates and their post-school career paths.
Technologies Used
Project Overview
The Alumni Tracking System is a web-based application designed to track graduates and monitor their post-school career paths. It allows schools to maintain updated records of alumni, including their current employment status, achievements, and other career-related information. The system aims to strengthen the connection between the school and its graduates through a centralized platform.
Problem Statement
In many schools, there is currently no efficient system for tracking alumni after graduation. From my observation, alumni data is often outdated or incomplete because it is manually collected or not regularly updated. This makes it difficult for schools to monitor the career progress of their graduates or maintain long-term engagement with them. As a result, valuable information about alumni success and career paths is often lost.
Proposed Solution
To address this problem, I developed the Alumni Tracking System, a web-based platform that allows alumni data to be stored, updated, and managed in a centralized system. The system enables graduates to submit and update their career information, while administrators can monitor and manage all records efficiently.
This solution improves data accuracy, ensures easier access to alumni information, and strengthens communication between the school and its graduates. It also supports better reporting and analysis of alumni career outcomes.

Lessons Learned
Through this project, I learned the importance of building systems that support long-term data management and user engagement. I gained experience in designing relational data structures for storing alumni profiles and tracking updates over time.
I also improved my understanding of user authentication and role-based access control, ensuring that only authorized users can manage or update records. Overall, this project helped me enhance my skills in web development, database design, and building systems focused on real-world institutional needs.
